The pillars of our ethos are sustainability and transparency

Steel is the most sustainable metal on earth. It is a wonder metal that can be recycled infinitely without any depletion of quality and composition. Over 630 million tons of steel are recycled every year. Steel is used in every sector of the economy, be it construction, machinery, transportation, household products, etc. Australia accounts for some of the largest carbon footprints on the planet as far as countries go, and the construction sector is a major contributor to the same. Studies conducted in the later part of the 2010s found that the constructions sector makes up 18% of the total national carbon footprint.

Why is steel sustainable?

Recyclability

Steel is a cradle-to-cradle recycled metal because it is an alloy made of different metals, just like copper and aluminum. The ideal method of recycling steel is by treating scrap waste from different articles.

Environment-friendly

Production of steel leaves behind minimum wastage and pollutants. This keeps the air and the surroundings cleaner than the production of other raw materials such as plastic, cement, etc.

Reusability

As described above, steel can be recycled countlessly, which means that it can be used again and again for different purposes and articles.

Economical

Using steel is highly economical as it can be reused and you don’t need to spend to procure it every time. Also, the production of steel is considerably economical, you just melt it and solidify it, and no more raw materials need to be added.

FAQ’S

How large is your team?

Our core team consists of six contractors who have a considerable amount of expertise and experience in the steel framing industry. Our extended network includes a number of third-party contractors who provide additional services, support and insights whenever required.

Is steel more sustainable than timber?

Steel is definitely more sustainable than timber as it is 100% recyclable and also does not exert the same pressure on the environment that timber does through deforestation. Moreover, steel buildings tend to be more sturdy and durable, especially in the context of the weather conditions of Australia which is known for bushfires and cyclones.

What makes you better than other steel providers in the market?

Our fundamental objective is to solve the two major issues that the steel market in Australia currently is plagued by – shortage of timber frames and long wait times for steel framing inquires and projects. Our business processes and material choices offer a powerful solution to these pressing issues and are also competitively priced as compared to the average market rates.

What are the standards and regulations that you adhere to?

We adhere to all major NASH standards pertaining to residential areas, low-rise steel framing, and bushfire areas. We also adhere to National Construction Code (NCC) and major Australian Standards like AS/NZS 1170 series (Minimum design load on structures), AS 1397 (coatings of zinc alloyed with aluminium and magnesium), AS 3600 (termite management), AS 3700 (masonry code), AS 4055 (wind loads for housing), and AS/NZS 4600 (cold-formed steel structures).
